A Better Building for Every Type of Building

  More Design Flexibility

No matter what the development or building project, NUDURA Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) can make it better. NUDURA (ICF's) will accommodate any floor plan, any design features, and any interior or exterior finishes.

  Hotels and Multi-Occupancy Structures

NUDURA (ICF), is perfect for both exterior and interior walls. Since almost no noise can penetrate a NUDURA (ICF), it not only blocks outside noise, but also makes an ideal party wall for peace and privacy.

Hospitals, Clinics and Hi-Tech Dust-Free Environments

Reward provides an indoor environment that is virtually free of airborne contaminants. Great for buildings containing computer components or other sensitive instruments.

  Schools, Office Buildings and Churches

Because of ICF's outstanding 3 and 4 hour fire ratings, you can provide unprecedented protection from fire to the occupants of your buildings. ICF buildings are also highly secure due to the strength of the in-situ concrete core construction.

  Banking and Retail

Nothing beats steel-reinforced concrete for strength. Again, ICF provides the highest level of security, not only for exterior walls, but also for interior vaults and storage facilities.

  Warehouses and Factories

With an effective 0.24 W/m²K U-Value, ICF walls produce buildings that stay cool and dry in summer and warm in winter.

  Multi-Storey Structures

ICFs have been used for the infill walls on what are believed to be the tallest (eleven stories) and the largest (436,161 square feet) ICF buildings ever constructed.

  Disasters

ICF walls are designed to endure winds up to 200 miles per hour; in addition concrete is a fireproof material. Due to this, ICF houses are a popular choice for people living in areas prone to natural disasters such as
wild fires, hurricanes, and tornadoes.

What type of Sidings can be used?

Virtually any exterior finish can be used with an ICF System. In fact, stucco is much more cost effective to apply over an ICF wall because the foam is already in place.

It is important to note that stucco when applied over wood in a conventional wood framed home can lead to wood rot and mold.

In an ICF wall there is NO wood to rot or warm dark wall cavity to grow mold!

SAFE ROOMS

Protect your family and valuables with an ICF Safe Room.
An ICF Safe Room provides protection from hurricane/tornado winds as high as 250 mph. These safe rooms are created by building any room (such as the master bedroom closet) with ICF walls, pouring a concrete "lid" on top, and installing a steel door. Not only does it keep your family safe, a closet Safe Room is a fire-resistant storage area for your valuables and heirlooms.

A Safe Room Can Save Your Life
The Federal Emergency Management Agency and state emergency management officials urge homeowners and home builders to consider adding a Safe Room to new homes being built or when remodeling existing homes.

Emergency experts agree that a family can survive high winds and wind-borne debris with little or no injury with a Safe Room, effectively giving your house and your family a “suit of armor.” Safe Rooms have proven effective against hurricane-force winds as well as tornadic winds.

FEMA, in cooperation with the Wind Engineering Research Center of Texas Tech University, developed designs for wind shelters that provide protection against winds of up to 250 miles per hour and windborne debris traveling at 100 miles an hour. Safe Rooms can be built for about the cost of remodeling a bathroom. A Safe Room is anchored to the ground to withstand extreme winds and strengthened with steel-reinforced concrete or steel sheathing to make the walls and ceiling virtually puncture-proof.

A Safe Room made with ICF adds an extra layer of protection. ICF provides solid wall construction without any voids that may result from cinderblock construction.
